The Vespa was met with disbelief when it was introduced to the public in 1946, as it was not a motorcycle, but rather the result of a cross between aviation and automobile technology. As the first economic single-track means of transport in history, ideal for post-war transport, it nevertheless soon achieved unprecedented success. It was also an item with a unique design that many tried to imitate and was destined to become an idol. Vespa is not just any scooter - it is THE scooter, known and loved all over the world.
