The hypnotic rhythms of Carioca are achieved by using the primary instruments - the hands. Lampa Batucada pays tribute to the hands of the black slaves who were the first Brazilian percussionists who could make people dance to the rhythms of the "batucar" drums in a mixture of music and religion. The Batuca lamp resembles a precious light source held by two hands that can hide or reveal it when needed.

The lights produced by the Italian manufacturer Ferroluce are handmade with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
