The distinctive Christmas ornament is made of blown glass in the shape of a tip divided by fine, spiral grooves. The sphere is unique because the craquelure effect and metallic colour are placed inside the ornament. This means that the outer surface remains perfectly smooth and shiny, protecting the inner, patinated design. The inner silver and gold antique effect with cracks thus becomes an optical illusion "encased" in a clean, mirrored shell. This technique lends depth and sophistication to the ornament.
