The idea that healthy sitting means active sitting originated more than 30 years ago with the advent of PVC exercise balls, which began to be used in offices and homes. However, these balls had their drawbacks - they were sticky, often rolled off and their appearance was not very aesthetic. With the arrival of VLUV in 2015, this concept changed when the traditional rubber ball was transformed into a comfortable and stylish piece of furniture that fits perfectly into modern interiors.
VLUV was founded in 2009 by Kristof Hock, who started modestly - working at a desk in his living room and making things in a small shed. Today VLUV is based in a historic factory near Cologne, where their team of seven employees designs and manufactures ergonomic products focused on movement and healthy sitting. Since its inception, VLUV has become a world leader in air-filled seating solutions that combine design, ergonomics and comfort.
